We have an NEC IPS2000 phone system, and a NEAX AD-40 Voicemail system. We have about 30 DTerm phones in the building.

Everything has been working great for years, then a couple days ago, the voicemail on one persons phone quit working...when you call their number, it just rings and rings and never rolls to voicemail. Everyone else's voicemail is still working normally. Nobody has changed anything in the phone system (I'm the only person with access).

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks!

Sounds like they turned off their CFBNA.

We have a button for that on our phones.... but there's also usually a code programmed. They probably dialed the code accidently, and turned off their CFBNA.

Thanks for the input. You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I'm a server/network guy who "inherited" the PBX admin duties, and has never been provided any training.

We have a Call Forwarding button on the phones, but CF has not been activated. Also, if the user is on the phone and somebody calls them, it does go to voicemail. So does this mean that call forward busy is set to go to voicemail, but call forward no answer somehow got disabled? Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks very much!

I'm no expert, but depending on the programming in your 2000, call busy and call no answer may be handled differently.
I'm not sure of the the command but you have a manual you might want to look at the E602, E603 command to see if it handles busy and no answer the same.
One of the experts here can give you exact command I bet.

Good Luck!

You can use CAT or MAT to enter these commands and E602 is correct for CFNANS but if you want the user to be able to set or cancel them it is best to find out what the user codes are in CMD 200 if you don't know how see here

Simply call forward to the VM pilot number and all should be right.
