NEAX AD-40 voicemail error

Our old AD-40 voicemail system tried to die yesterday. After several reboots I got it off its face and onto its knees.

While it seems to be working, it is throwing a new (to me) error. The error seems to be generated when a message is left (but not every time a message is left, I think).

Error is as follows.
L11: 11/30/15 11:49:36 chan_ans_CWID(): Resetting Channel. err=31


My translation is
L11= Port # that was involved in the error (its a 32 port system and the error can seemingly be generated by any port)

11/30/15 11:49:36 = Date and time of error

chan_ans_CWID(): = I DON”T know for sure.

Resetting Channel. err=31 = again I don’t know

We NEED to keep this system alive for at least another 6 -12 months while/until we replace the entire phone system and all related parts, such as the voicemail and call accounting systems.

Any ideas as to what is causing this error? Is it critical? Or how to cure it?

It could be a bad port on the dialogic card. I'd busy out the port and see how it reacts. I'd also busy out the PBX port feeding it.
