I just got a job at a resort. The Old IT guy had left very little documentation about everything. I did find the dterm II codes for the phone. I installed a new phone for an employee (ext 8900) the extension wasn’t going to voicemail so I did a *3 (CF busy/no answer) this half way works. If the phone is busy then it will go to voicemail (ext 8500) if the phone rings then it will not go, just keeps ringing.

A local company lent me a copy of there Matworx 8 but it does not communicate to the phone system I used the cable that is connected to the DOS version of the programming software. (Db25 to db9 cable I think) I have no clue what to do in the dos version the only thing I can do is change the time and check if there are any system messages.

Can someone help me on either topic????

Exactly which system do you have?

As for the call forward there are four possible call forwards, All, No answer, Busy and busy/no answer. it sounds as though you are just setting a busy not a busy/no answer

Before we can help with anything else we would really need to know what system you have. The command you are using to set the time would help to identify the system if you are unsure.

I have a NEC 2400 IMG, using the DOS 2400 Information Management System, and for voice mail callegra 5.51

According to the card looks like from the phone system it says the *3 Is for busy/no answer but the problems I have been having here I don’t doubt that it could be wrong

If the 2400 software level is high enough you can you the command ACFS.
TN 1
STN: XXXX
1 to assign
B = busy
D- no answer
enter the destination.
If the software level is not high enough you will not be able to program and will get alarm on the system, no big deal just clear the alarm. ( RALM ).

Just a note.

If you have an IMG you will always be restricted to a dos based MAT. So make sure you have a computer capable of booting in windows 98 at the latest. We always have a dual boot setup on our machines.
