neax 2000 newbie

Hi,
Recently, through a series of nonprofit mishaps, I (network administrator for win2000 and Linux system) have been placed in charge of the pbx and voicemail. We're using a NEC NEAX 2000 IVS (without upgrade) and a NuPoint Messenger VM system.
We are a vastly under funded non-profit and cannot afford MatWorx to administer the PBX/PRI. Bell$outh tech support is slow, bloated, and intellectually closed. Does anyone have tips for programming over a handset? Or how I may access programming manuals and codes. I searched the Internet and found CAT mode functions like 770 and how to change the time, but after that I'm lost.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try using Procomm or Hyperterm to program, function are below. VT100

/ = Command entry Start
. = Execute
: = Cancel key operation
enter = Step Forward
, = Seperator
- = Step Back
Back Space = Cancel one character
Space bar = Data Entry
