I have four or five Insturments that stop working about five minutes after they are reset, but the display still works the co lites when you go off hook. I have replaced the insturements and stations cards associated them. I have also changed the stations to a diferent LT and the problem shows up at another station in that PIM. I am at a lost.

thanks

Have seen this because of a corrupt database which was the result of an AP00-B card being in the PBX with no cables attached to it.
I would also look at powering down the MP and reseating the CP14 making sure it is firmly seated against the backplane.
It could also be a time slot issue if you have display but no dial tone.
Check CM F70>LEN> you will get 00 01 XX YYY. You want to make sure this data appears next to all stations. If the 2nd byte is an 02 or higher that slot is using that number of time slots. It should only have 01 if it is a regular Dterm set.
If you see NONE against the LEN this means there is no time slot thus the display with no dial tone.
The most common culprit for this is when people flag CM 1328 for the station to a 0 for off hook voice announce. This will make the Dterm take 2 time slots effectively taking one away from another working station. Also if you have MATWorx Studio I believe some versions will by default flag this option for a Dterm causing the problem.

Sounds to me like you have a time slot issue. Look in command F70>len number>xx:yy yy needs to have a 01 to say a time slot exists. If yy = 00, it will fail.
