Hello,

I am going to be installing a PN-CFTC Conference Bridge into our phone switch, We already have one installed but we need more conf lines.

We use MATWorX 8.0.1 for administration. Can i set it up from there or is there another way. I would really like to do this myself without having to call a vendor but i have very little experience with this system.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The first thing you need to verify is if your system has enough licensing for the additional T-1 card. The CFTC is a T-1 card. Using the MOC mode, go to CMD F88 de 02 de This will tell you how many T-1/PRI licenses you have. A basic system load gives you 5. Next, count up all of the CFTC, 24DTI, 24PRT and 24 CCTA cards. If you are less than 5 then you can add the new card. NOTE: Your copy of MATWorX is old. The latest version is 13.0.4. Look at the rotory switch on the front of the existing CFTC card and note the setting. You can trace it through the program and set up the new card in a similar fashion. There is a lot of programming to do and you might be better off having a trained tech do this. Mistakes can take down your digital trunks.

Thanks for the info on it, My boss said for $300 to get it installed it better to just let someone who knows how to do it take care of it.

For MATWorX though, Is it free to upgrade to the latest version or do you have to pay for it? Also where would i get it if i wanted to upgrade and are there any issues i might have from upgrading?

MatWorX comes with a CPU software upgrade. It's basically free to a dealer. You cannot download it. Ask your vender if he'd be kind enough to give you a copy.
