I'm trying to manually setup a LJ 5000 onto our Novell NDS - but its just not playing along!
I've got the printer, print server and queue objects all made and linked together on the NDS side, but the printer itself just wont see the queue. In the diagnostics section of JetAdmin, it says:
NDS Tree (tree)
NDS Print Server CN=PS_HP5000_01.OU=(unit).O=(tree)
File Server BORDERMANAGER_01
Type NDS
Connection Status Cannot login
NCP Status Offline
NDS Status File Server Connected
Queues Not Logged In
why its looking to the bordermanager server instead of the main novell fileserver, i dont know! Nor can i see where to point it at the fileserver, so i'm presuming this should be ok..?! It says file server connected, so its obviously found something, but can't see the queue!
If i click the login button, i can enter a user account, after which the printer will see the queue, but still say Offline and Cannot login as it does above
What am i missing?? Its driving me mad now! (I wonder if it may be something on the Novell side..?)
