Lately I have received reports from various users that emails sent from outside our organization to some of our users are being bounced back with the following error message:
"The e-mail account does not exist at the organization
this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find our the correct address. 5.1.1"
These errors are being generated by our Exchange Box (we are running EXCH 2000 on WIN2K with all the latest service packs and GFI Mail Essentials 11, all on the same box).
Our reipient policies have remained the same, no changes there, yet despite the fact that our user email address and accounts do indeed exist within our AD, this error messages still occur.
I have read the MS KB article 284204 concerning this NDR, but everything on my Exchange server appears 'normal.'
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
