Hello,
I need some advise if the following can be done on exchange 2003 and I thought this was the best place to come.
I have always turned off NDR’s but have recently thought that they might be useful to send to the administrator to see if there is a problem in sending emails.
I would like to receive an email to the postmaster account when an email sent by our company doesn’t reach its intended recipient. I have therefore turned on NDR, but I am getting hundreds of email per day from people trying to guess account name on our domain ( most of it spam ). I would only like to get emails when we as a company sent an email out and it gets bounced back – is this possible.
Also at the moment we have a few different domain name i.e company x, company y & company z, with company x being the main domain. If someone sends an email to company y to a mailbox that doesn’t exist then they get a NDR back with from the postmaster account from company x ( the main domain ) is there any way to stop this?
Many Thanks
