Hi all --

I am trying to install an NPDS HP Laserjet 8150N on several Windows 2000 workstations, but I keep getting the error:

Code:
Could not install printer. Printer Manager is not loaded or in an error state. For more information, look up the following error code in the online documentation: (0x0013000B)
I haven't been able to find any reference to this error code, and I'm at a bit of a loss.

Here's the configuration:

Server: NetWare 5.0 Small Business Suite with SP6a
Clients: Windows 2000; Client 4.8

I am able to connect to the printer and print from the Windows 9x workstations, but no dice on any of my Win 2K stations. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Don

Don,
I have an almost identical setup to yours and have not had any problems adding the 8150n to the Win2k systems. Did you add the print drivers to the Broker RMS Resources? I also use only Private Printers, never could get Public Printers to work right. I just push the printers down to all the Workstations and everyone can use them.

Hi Ken --

I have the 8150N set up as a controlled access printer with all of the appropriate drivers added to RMS. (Had to do the SP6a upgrade to get Win2K entries in RMS.)

It looks like the problem's solved, though. After posting my question, I discovered that there was a later version of the client available. When I installed client 4.81, everything worked like a charm. (I don't know if I would have had the same success if I'd have installed SP3 for client 4.8.)

Thanks for the suggestion!

Don
