NDPS - Public Access Printers

hi there!

i am having a problem re adding (network) printer/s from a novell client (win95/98).

here's what i tried:

add printer -> network -> entire network -> NDPS Public Access Printers

after i clicked on it - it stays, like it's doing something but to no avail. i waited like 5 minutes. then - seems to me it hanged. i have to press control-alt-delete to kill the process.

anyone has the same problem before?

I have had similiar problems in the past. Re-installing the client has always corrected the problem for me.

i tried re-installing the novell client to the latest, but still - the same problem.

If the printer was originally a "controlled access printer" and then got deleted, the ndps manager retains it in it's list, but shows it as a public access printer. Has this happened? When this is the case, the printer isn't actually there. You would need to remove it from the printer agent list either on the server or through NWAdmin. Don't know if this is the issue, but thought I would take a shot just in case.

it's a controlled access printer and most of the users can use the printer.
