NDPS printing problems 1

My company is implementing NDPS 2.1. We have had a few small issue setting up groups. One issue is that the users in one group lost printing capability. We had to reinstall all of there printers and this resolved the issue for the time being. My current problem is with one user who is on Win 98 and they are running lotus notes 4.6.3. When they are set up with NDPS they cannot print from lotus notes, but they can print from excel, word, etc. If I change the port setting back from NDPS they print fine. My questions are / 1)Is this an NDPS problem. 2) Could it be something in lotus notes causing the issue?

I have other users set up in the group and they have had fixable issues, but this one is stumping me. We haven't went full scale yet and I would like to have this resolved before they push us to go company wide. HELP....

NDPS has some "funky" relationships with drivers IME. I've had to play around with the driver files a bit to get even performance from my HP printers under NDPS. For ex, I've had to go back to the original drivers on our NT disks to solve various issues incl each page printing out as a "job" (one page, then a pause, then another page.. very very slow!!)

Generally IME clients that are not recieving their printers either have a client issue (sometimes a MSFT service pack or hotfix horks the client. Coincidence?) or spooler is mad. To check spooler, go to control panel-->services. Disable spooler, then re-enable, then restart it. Yes, reboot the spooler. ;) Often times I've seen NDPS printers will start showing up right after you do that.

Another thing that you mentioned was groups. My experience is that NDPS does not like to work on users who are in multiple groups that have NDPS printers associated with them. It gets confused on which ones to install for that user so it usually will install them all and them remove them all.
