NDPS manager got hosed at this site yesterday. I deleted printer objects, unloaded manager and broker and deleted them. I recreated broker and loaded it. I recreated manager and loaded it. I recreated each printer. I kept the object names the same as before. Now when I login, each printer gets installed as it should but when the groups refresh, the printers are removed. Here's a snip from the log:

"Refreshing container: \\FLA_DHRS\.OAK.7A.ESS.D07.DCF
---- Do not show results window.
---- Allow only specified printers requested.
---- Printer NDPS-OAK-RM104-4000TN.OAK.7A.ES: Installed
Refreshing group: \\FLA_DHRS\.Everyone.OAK.7A.ESS.D07.DCF
---- Do not show results window.
---- Allow only specified printers requested.
---- Printer NDPS-OAK-RM104-4000TN.OAK.7A.ES: Removed
Refreshing group: \\FLA_DHRS\.GP-ESSFFP.OAK.7A.ESS.D07.DCF
---- This object does not have Remote Printer Management installed/setup.
Refreshing group: \\FLA_DHRS\.GP-CCMail 85 Client.ESS.D07.DCF
---- This object does not have Remote Printer Management installed/setup.
Refreshing user: \\FLA_DHRS\.Adminoak.OAK.7A.ESS.D07.DCF
---- This object does not have Remote Printer Management installed/setup."

I am not specifying only these printers as the log mentions. Also, since this is 5.0 I can't admin RPM from the group level. All servers in the ESS OU are running 5.0 sp6a. I've tried the ndp2xp7 patch but it didn't help. The desktops are w95/98 with client 330. I'm totally stumped. Thanks for any help.

Resolved problem in a strange way. I used nwadmin on a 5.1 server and browsed to that container, I then got the NDPS management button for the everyone group which plainly showed what the log was describing. The allow only specified printers button was checked but there were no specified printers. Once I added them, all was well.
