I have removed an NDPS printer object from Netware Admin and now need to create it again. However I can't as I keep getting an error msg stating that the object already exists. I've looked and it doesnt appear in the tree anywhere. I have refreshed and restarted Netware Admin but still the same msg. Any ideas?

You might want to check your NDPS console on the server. When you delete the printer object from NDS I think it leaves the printer as a public printer. I am pretty sure you can delete from the server and then recreate it. I also think if you look in the context of you NDPS manager you will find the printer listed.

Yes, your printer became a Public Access Printer when you deleted it from NDS. To fix this, open NWAdmin -> Tools -> NDPS Public Access Printers. Select it from the list, then on the NWAdmin toolbar goto Object -> Convert to NDPS Printer Object. Assign it back to the container you deleted it from.

When you want to delete a printer, open NWAdmin and doubleclick on your NDPS Manager -> Printer Agent List. Select the Agent for the printer and click delete. This will remove both the printer and the agent from NDS.

Good Luck.
