NDMP_NO_DEVICE_ERR(16) Error

I am receiving the following error when trying to backup NW6 SP2 with BKUPEX 9.0 Build 4172:

NDMP Error NDMP_NO_DEVICE_ERR(16). Unable to open target media device. The device may be unavailable or it may not be responding.

Anybody have any clues because I can find nothing on Veritas support site or forums.

Try a bestop at the console
rename the mm folder and create an empty mm folder (under sys:bkupexec folder)
bestart

eanders - I believe, best I can make out my notes, that my solution was to disable workstation agent support for the media server. Do this by going to the Administration Console on your workstation then to Tools, Options, Media Server, Agents tab and uncheck agent support. Let me know if this doesn't work and I will try to figure my notes out a little better (I have slept since then).
