ndmp backup, restore to different file system

hello. is anyone aware of a backup software that would allow me to redirect the restore of a backup off a filer, via ndmp, to another cifs client not utilizing the ndmp protocol?

I'm not sure of your configuration, but I'm not certain that is possible unless that other filer can control the tape drives that are used for ndmp backups.....mine are direct connected to my filer.

Based on the information you have given it sounds like you might be out of luck.

Then again, I am not an NDMP guru.....I set mine up and it just works (thankfully!)
