Hi

We have a startup script set up an on all of our boxes caller /etc/rc2.d/S11ndd that looks like this

# e1000g0 interface
ndd -set /dev/e1000g0 adv_100fdx_cap 1
ndd -set /dev/e1000g0 adv_100hdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/e1000g0 adv_1000fdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/e1000g0 adv_1000hdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/e1000g0 adv_10fdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/e1000g0 adv_10hdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/e1000g0 adv_autoneg_cap 0

however , on one box I have just built that runs that script I get the following warnings on boot

WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[0] : ndd set: adv_100hdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled
WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[0] : ndd set: adv_1000fdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled
WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[0] : ndd set: adv_10fdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled
WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[0] : ndd set: adv_10hdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled
WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[1] : ndd set: adv_100hdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled
WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[1] : ndd set: adv_1000fdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled
WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[1] : ndd set: adv_10fdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled
WARNING: pci8086,1011 - e1000g[1] : ndd set: adv_10hdx requires adv_autoneg_cap enabled

My understanding was that if adv_autoneg_cap was enabled (set to 1) then it would ignore all other settings, so why are the other settings asking for adv_autoneg_cap to be enabled ??..... i dont get it ....its like theyre asking to be ignored
