Hi, I'm the UK, we have a new NCP500, with 3 BT (British Telecom) analogue trunk lines and an 8 port digital (wired) card. I want some or all of the extensions to ring on an inbound call, at present only one extension (port 1) is ringing, also the other extensions can't even pick the ringing line. I am using the PC console program to set the system up.

I guess I need to set up an 'incoming call group' which I have tried, clearly I am not doing this correctly, can anyone give me on the steps to do this. Di I first set up User Group or just the ICG,... how do I add the members?

I am used to the old panasonic S-DBS 308 which clearly specified this option (it did not really have the group tier)

Many thanks in advance.

Yes I have the "Maintenance Console" software and am connected to the NCP via the maintenance port, also tried a bit via the handset. I was/am a bit confused over "tenants", "user groups" and "ICD groups".

Could not see in which section the mapping was to be defined, in the "ICD group", "trunk" or "extension" sections?

I did also try accessing it over the network via its webserver, but the options there seem limited.

Another question, on a vanilla system, what is the default extension numbers on the 8 port digital wired card, 201 to 208? ours have been changed (to 2801 to 2808) and i would like to set them back to default?

will look again today, thanks.

The help file won't open, it looks as though it did not install, when the app installed; hence my cry for help..... I am trying to source it,.. so I don't bother peops.

Thanks,... I am and have been reading. In the Group Settings tab 3.5.1 , for the specific ICD group, do I need to set the 'Call Waiting Distribution' attribute to 'All' as opposed to 'Distribution'?

The ICDs were set up, but still only port 1 extension ringing on an incoming call; I think what was missing was the DIL table was not populated, which maps the trunk lines to the various extensions and groups via the various distribution methods, DIL, DDI, MSN. So I set each of the trunk lines to be DIL and to have a destination of my ICD Group "601"; sound OK?

Open the member list in your ICD groups and add whoever you want to see the incoming call and also set the number of rings for each member.
i.e. Receptionist >Immediate
General dogsbody > 2 rings
Boss who wants to know why the phone haven't been answered>6 rings

Or whatever the customer wants

Yep, but you can do so much more too!

Hey guys, thanks for all the info and help,... all working now. By-the-way, if I need "read the manual" advice, I ask my mum, so there's no need to tell me that; I only hit the forums when the books don't answer the Q's. Ta again. I'll take the advice and try even more stuff, autoresponder, caller manus,...I guess you'll be hearing from me again.
