NCP500 IP phone issues (hows that for being vague)

Ohhh I remember a time when my biggest issue was trying to figure out a way to line the KXTDA/308/824 and phones in the back of my van in such a way that if I reversed at 30 miles hour then hit the brakes in front of the customers front door it would all fly out through the back of the van and stick on the wall ready to go.....(I was getting close.... very close, double sided tape was all I was missing)

But sadly those days are long gone.

Nooooo someone had to invent VoIP/sip/etc/etc/routers installed by a cousin 2 years ago who doesn't remember the router password but is sure they have VPN's set up.

I install Avaya kit mostly these days, so I'm as most engineers I know, I have become an under paid/under trained network engineer. Who at the drop of a hat should go from pulling 4 pair through a dirty false ceiling/loft to configuring a customers entire network whilst using Wireshark for more than checking what websites/passwords my flatmates use.

Rant over on to the problem......

NCP 500 with 4 home workers using IP phones. Perfect they can make calls to the main site where the NCP is located and the main office can call them.

But home worker to home worker the call goes through but nothing when they answer the call.

I've confirmed all the ports required are open on the routers.

I'm thinking that whats happening is the NCP500 is initiating the call but once connected its dropping it. Do I also need VPN's home worker to home worker once the NCP has done it's thing?

I don't want a specific step by step guide(all though don't hold back if you have one, PDF would be great as don't have latest ripped copy of word) but just a rough idea what I need to Google (god bless Google) to get a feel for what networking wise needs to be done.

Plus if I'm being stupid/not checked other posts let me know, I'm most likely drunk enough now to not take your abuse to heart.

(I've attached a picture of my naked girlfriend as motivation....well i would but she left me because I spend too much time working, just imagine a fat ugly chick naked eating a big mac moaning about why her partner is never around).

Yes, you do need a vpn between all sites,(or rooting of ip phone address through main network) the Ip phones only use the system to set up the call, then the phones will work peer to peer.

as for fat naked girls, there is plenty of other sites for that ;-)
