Hi All
I have 10 sip trunks on a NCP500 from a company called Blueface, is there any way that I can improve the delay from when you dial the number to actually get throughto the ringing tone ...about 10 seconds.
Is this normal...for the Panasonic

this is the inter-digit timer, you can adjust it, but if too short it will time out if you pause between numbers, I find about 4 seconds for the second digit timer.

another option is to dial # at the end of dialing, this will tell the system you have finished dialing and will connect straight away

Better still
In Group>Trunks>Dialing Plan (3.1.4) enter the usually dialled first digits the the corresponding number of X's

eg QLD area code is 07 number is 40567890
NSW area code is 02 number is 90123456

enter 07XXXXXXXX;40XXXXXX;02XXXXXXXX;90XXXXXXin the table
where X is the nuber of digits the PBX should wait for before sending the number.

The PBX will wait for these digits before sending the number, voila
