Has anyone set one of these up before. Strugling to get the internet settings correct.

Any ideas

Am not sure if KX-NCP series support third-party SIP devices. I have installed several Cisco SPA500 series SIP IP Phones with KX-NS500 using third-party SIP device Licenses and they work great!.

KX-NCP500/1000, i am not sure

Well, looks like there is a third party SIP devices license (KXNCS370/1/4/16).

Good to know

Yes the NCP will support sip extensions

First do you have s DSP card installed in the system

If yes you have a sip extension license on the system and a sip extension card setup with extension and password

The pap is programmed with registration server ad system Ip

User and auth is the extension. Password as set in the system
Port on the system is 5060 unless changed

Won’t work from outside the internal Lan unless you have a VPN

I have moved on a bit I have the license installed the ATA has registered to the system but when i call the extension it just hangs, and the same when trying to dial out. In the ports on the sip extension card it says in service, but it has not populated the current IP field. Any thoughts welcome.

What do you mean by it hungs?.
Checked UDP ports and signaling ports to be 5060 on both devices?.
Have you observed the requirements and procedures listed by OBT? -> DSP, Virtual card (V-SIPEXT32), setup SIP account e.t.c. So that fact that device has regitered i suppose you followed. Confirmed ports as well?

I have set the signalling port on both devices to 45060 as we also have SIP trunks on the system.

Thanks
Keith

If you try xlite on a laptop with wireshark to see what is happening
Sounds as if you have one way traffic. Are they on the same subnet. Gateway and submask correct

Are you using proxy server on the pap2 as you don’t need it if on internal lan
