I set up a dummy ACD group to forward to an external number but somehow I'm getting a recording from AT&T. In load 23 I programmed a ACD group and in the NCFW parameter I programmed in a 9 then the full external number but it's not going through. What am I doing wrong? I can forward a internal phone here and forward it to an external number with no problem.

What you describe sounds fine NCFW = 9 xxxxxxxxx.

Have you tried dialling the 9xxxxxxx number from an extn.

Yes it worked from my extension.

I just tried something else, I called the ACD number internally and it forwaded to the external number fine. But when I call the DID number (which essentially is the ACDN I created) it doesn't work, it defaults to my operator.

Yeah our switch acts the same way. It's probably something to do with trunk to trunk barring. You can either try building it as a phantom tn and forward out or put the route access code instead of ac1 in ncfw.

I'm going to try the route access code but what do you mean instead of AC1?

AC1 is access code 1, which is generally a 9. You can also have an AC2 but I don't think that's used too often. You need to look up your ACOD (access code) in LD 21.

return till you see your ACOD. good luck LynMar.

I did put my access code in but that didn't work either. I get a fast busy when I do that. I put a space after the access code, I tried it with a 1 in front and without.

ncfw (routeaccescode)(phonenumber) all together. IF this doesn't work than you can try the phantom tn but it does work on ours.

ncfw (acod)(phonenumber) this might be a better way to explain it. Don't include the brackets.

I'll have to try the phanton TN then, I tried the ACOD number and the phone number all together but I'm still getting a fast busy.

What recording are you getting from AT&T? Maybe you need to add or take away the 1.

Yeah, that's what I thought to. I tried it with and without the one. It says "your call did not go through please dial the extention of the party you're trying to reach"? I think it has something to do with ther fact that the acd group doesn't have an NCOS, but if that's it how do I get around this? A phanton will forward the number all the time. There's gotta to be a way.

I have several ACD's with NCFW to external numbers. These work for inbound ddi calls to the ACD & trunk to trunk back out. While I can't put my finger on the problem, I believe it more likely to be a LD15 setting

Are you sure that the recording is from AT&T? Have you tried another number just for testing.

Check your CFF/CFO opt in the CDB.
CFF call fowarding forwarding
CFO call forwarding originating

Your incoming trunks have to have a high enough NCOS to make the outgoing call. Check your NCOS on all trunks for this incoming route.

If LynMar is getting an AT&T recording hasn't he then gotten out of his switch, thus eliminating the possibility that he's being blocked in any way?

Yes -Coniglio - you are correct.

That recording mentioned sounds more like someones voice mial attendant

I changed this setting a couple of months ago to allow us to forward a internal extension to an outiside number. Because at first I couldn't get the forading to work externally, when I changed that option it fixed my problem. Also I can forward my extestion here to this number I'm trying to dial and it works.
