Hello tek-tippers

this issue has shown to me in two different customers

A, the SCSI card get damaged and I changed BIOS to enable SATA boot, it worked right, however DVD drive was disabled, later I re enabled it again.
Since Nice admin lost access to DVD, I reinstalled the "dvd write" 5.1.2.6 drivers, and detected again the DVD.

when reactivating the automatic backup I got that it begins to fill several DVDs, but the DVD content is a surprise, it has recordings from the years 2006, 2007, 2008 (year that are already backed up) and later it stops the automatic archiving, seems its not possible to set the automatic backup for the unarchived recordings.

B, the data bus to the DVD was strangely damaged, got to be replaced, this system as the former A example, lost lost access to DVD, I reinstalled the "dvd write" 5.1.2.6 drivers, and detected again the DVD.

this time it was just like 3 or 4 DVD turns, and later it showed "ready"
but the media contents are again 2006, 2007, 2008 (year that are already backed up)

Any Idea to "set" the date for starting automatic archiving?

Thanks a lot

hi this is safety feature and working as designeed. if you want to select specific dates have a look at manual archving in nice backup

Its good to know at last that this is a "work as designed" feature, so I will not break my head more about that.

Anyway could it be done by nice profesional services? since NCF has not passed the "end of support" date. Any experience

Thank you very much.

Got another question of the same thread

its frequent that the DVD backup gets about 3 or 4% of progress and suddenly ejects the DVD?
that is happening and it makes the process even more entangling.

have a look in logger logs for bsrv events and also run bug find on logger to check for errors/fatals. seen this before were the wrong type of media was used refer to archive media document on extranice for certified media. have the applied the latest sp to logger?
