I have a customer with 2 sites both with SCCS rls5.0 NON-feature pack 1 networked with an NCC server server of the same vintage. I am upgrading both SCCS servers to feature pack 1 and migrating to new 2003 server OS hardware. I am also implementing the standby server feature. They were not sold an upgrade to the NCC server to upgrade it to feature pack 1. Does anyone know if I will have problems with the NCC application working properly? Or worse, will it actually cause problems with my sites in a stand-alone environment?

Thanks
Rob

I don't know of a problem with the O/S itself, as long as you are running the same release w/peps on all servers. Especially, the NCC must be the highest revision if there is any difference among the servers (which would mean to apply SUs and peps to the NCC first also).

Remember, the replication server (in your standby server solution) for 5.0 doesn't support 2003...still 2000 Server.

I know I should be on the same release with all the PEPS, but will the NCC be the same release if it is not on "feature pack 1"? I know it is still rls5.0, but I will be using the new feature pack 1 CDs for the SCCS servers, while the NCC server will not be touched and will still be non-feature pack 1. Thanks for the reminder on the rep server....
