Does anyone know if 'standard ip' mode is more efficient than 'ethernet only' mode?

Settings are:

'music on hold' feature = off
system-wide audio codec = medium
system-wide silence suppression = on

and the network still seems burdened. Going to do a packet capture later on today.

Thanks in advance!

the nbx in ethernet mode will not communicate layer 3 so if you have softphones or remote users then you have to operate in ip mode, the 3com nbx will push multicast no
mater which mode your in this can create network activity but it is only multicast traffic.
