I want to be able to call the nbtstat -A ipaddress within excel to me a module so I can use a formula in one column and reference the IP Address from another colum and get the results populated in excel to verify the record.

Can this be done?

I've searched all over the internet and have not found any examples.

Chris77504,
Not exactly sure what your question is but based on the parts I would say yes.

You can cache the NBTStat output to a text file using:
[tab][tt]Shell "nbtstat -a Computer > C:\NBTStat.txt"[/tt]

You can then parse information from the file using your preferred I/O mechanism (VBA, FileSystemObject...)

All this can be encapsulated within an function in an Excel module.

Hope this helps,
CMP
