Ive recently been "thrown in at the deep end" for 3 Netbackup 6 servers in my new job role.. im still very much learning about the quirks and features in the software, coming from backup exec.. anyway had a problem with one of the master/media servers a few weeks ago, the C: ran out of space which corrupted the EMM database. Netbackup was re-installed and re-patched up to MP4, and the database was restored from a catalog backup..
The problem is, while looking through the logs using the reports part of the admin console.. the majority of the log entries are coming out blank. so most the entries bar a couple of actual backup-related ones show as *null* for the description and only show the time, media server and "error" - its also generating about 15 of these errors in the log every minute.. some of them exactly every 10 minutes..
Has anyone come across this before?..
PS also the netbackup-related events are not showing their descriptions in the windows event log..
