I am doing the development in Navision (Attain). However, I found that the report writer in Navision (Attain) is not that helpful for some complicated reports. And I heard crystal report can be integrated with Navision (Attain).

My question is:

How to integrate Crystal Report with navision? I am using Navision 3.01B and CR9. The database is SQL 2000. Some reference said I can use OCX. But I can't manage how to do it. If anyone has any idea, please suggest. Also, if possible, please send a simple example.

Thanks in advance

Rich

You should be able to connect Crystal to Navision by using ODBC. connect to the tables you want to use and then design the repor
The Navision Disk comes with the ODBC software needed. I have used odbc to take data from navision to excel. I think it will work on the same principle

Crystal will work with any ODBC compliant database. If Navision runs in SQL 2000, use the ODBC driver that comes with your verions of Crystal for SQL 2000.

The trick is knowing the data architecture of your application, to be able to find and fields you want in your report and to join the tables to one another.
