NAVIGATOR/MONITOR WINDOWS FAIL TO DISPLAY

Probably simple but causing no end of grief. Recently for no apparent reason the Server Manager gui has changed so that I can only display either the Navigator window or the Monitor window at a time. I can toggle between the two however the Monitor window when displaying shows only the bottom half of the screen . This means that scheduled jobs that I have set at the top of the monitor screen do not all display.
Does anyone have any ideas about to sort this out. I have discussed it with a few people and no solution apart from reinstall have been given. I have re-installed twice and both times the same problem has appeared when it's complete.

Further to the question: It's seems to be that I've lost the bar across the top of the monitor. This means that I have no means of closing off the monitor except by using the monitor toggle button on the standard display.

With version 4.6 I had the same problem (well, similar) with the designer GUI. The only remedy then was to rename the pmdesign.ini file
On opening the designer a new .ini file was created and the problem was solved (untill the next time)
Perhaps this will work for you as well (by renaming the corresponding .ini file)
