Hi all, I am having a go at building and hosting my own e-commerce site so I am ensuring that all the site is laid out correctly etc, but I am trying to point to my images folder but cannot get the background to appear. For example top of the site is mainfolder with a folder caled image so for the background I use background="image/blackground.gif" and for a page that is in a subfolder of the main folder I use background="../image/blackground.gif" but when I am in a subfolder of the subfolder how do I get the image to point back to the main one. I have tried three dots but it doesn’t work. Thx I am sure this is a very simple question but I just can’t find the answer anywhere.

Try background="../../image/blackground.gif"

You use "../" to go up one level at a time, so "../../" would go up 2 levels, "../../../" 3 levels, and so on.

I know you didn't ask for feedback on your site, but I'll give it anyway ;o)... Learn CSS ;o)... Font tags are all but an ancient art now.

Hope this helps,
Dan
