My workplace has just upgraded from Office 2002 to Office 2003. I find it an improvement, but I've run into two minor problems.
a) I use 'Appointments' on the Calendar for reminders to myself, mostly for lunch. For Outlook 2002, I could open the reminder, delete it and it would be gone. For Outlook 2003, I also have to click [Dismiss], for something that no longer exists. Can this be avoided?
b) I like the Navigation Pane, I also know how to add and remove it using [Alt][F1]. The summary months at the top of the Navigation Pane are also useful, but I find I get one, two or four in two rows, depending on how wide I make the Navigation Pane. I could do without the choice of Current View and would sooner see more months instead. But I can find no setting that controls this. Is there one?
Please note that hundreds of people share the system and I am not the person who controls the basic settings, though I could pass on good ideas and sensible suggestions. Also some of my right-click options for Windows XP are disabled, for security reasons.
