Navigate from one page to another without changing the address bar/url 1

Hello,

I have a strange question?
Is it possible to navigate from one page to another and to another
but the address bar(that is the URL) should not change. It should be the same as I started?

ie the URL should not change as I navigate from one page to another? URL should remain the same !!

I like frames for that but I am sure I will be shot down in flames for not recomending the latest CSS gizmo with associated browser problems.

Well, that's one of the reasons most people don't like frames, because you can't bookmark a particular page in the site (the url doesn't change). So in this case, since you want the url to stay the same frames are probably the best solution.

But since this is a CGI forum, I'm sure you could write a CGI app that serves the appropriate content based on some POST data. I'm just not sure how you'd send the post data from clicking on a link, perhaps some javascript would do the trick. Or maybe have all your links be form submit buttons?

I like CGI::Application. This way you can have a run mode for each page you want...
