NAV scheduling

i have NAV to kick off a client scan from a server on every machine every Friday 4:00pm.

this eats up the processor on every machine when the scans begin. this of course leads to sluggish performance and user complaints.

is there a way or can the scan run smoother in the background of each machine without hindering performance or is it just expected?

I run the scans daily at 4am. Having the scan run when people are actually trying to use their system makes for a lot of very unhappy users.
