Whenever I try to start NAVMSE 2.0 on my server, I get the following Dr. Watson message:

"An Application Error has occurred and an application error log is being generated
NAVESrv.exe
Exception: Access violation (0xc0000005); Address: 0x10029b2a"

The service will not start. I have set the service to manual start because it was locking up the service database when it tried to start automatically.

The server is running Windows NT Server 4.0 SP 6a and Exchange 5.5 SP 4, as well as NAV 5.0. The server also runs WRQ Express Reports, which is a software that loads application usage statistics from network clients. The problem started as soon as the first WRQ client started sending its data to the server, so I believe the two events are related. However, we have two other servers running WRQ and NAVMSE together, and they have no such problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Have you tried to unselect specific exchange 5.5 directory from scanning ? Look at the symantec support site to find the right directory to exclude.

Hope this helps

After working with this problem for hours on end, I finally removed NAVMSE 2.0 and installed 1.5 in its place. Now, it's working fine. Thanks anyway!
