Hi,
Technical support have told me twice (when I had probs and called them) that I should upgrade from 2.11 to 2.18 - may fix it.
I have the upgrade (downloaded from web) but they advise removing program and re-installing. Would need to call in an expert to do this kind of thing, so am cautious to proceed.
For a single server user of Symantec Anti Virus Corporate Edition 7.5, what are the benefits of upgrading this component? We need the BEST and MOST SECURE protection against e-mail viruses, as we get quite a lot coming into our server (all stopped with program).
Current problem is that registry editing done to get program to quarantine certain file attachments seems to "go overboard" and block ALL unknown attachments, not just the ones I specify - about 6 of the main ones. The Symantec guy suggested changing the count number from 6 to 5, meant the system starting blocking ALL file types !!!! So naturally I put it back and told him I was not happy he did this not knowing what he was doing.
I would appreciate your advise.
Regards,
Jay/UK
