We are currently running pest patrol to do our spyware removeal and now I read nav 10.0 finds spyware. How effective is it? I've installed it with the version above and finally have it working ok. I had some issues at first but got through them.

What is your opinion on these new so called security threats it finds?

I have been testing its spyware abilities as well, I use ad-aware in my company. Symantec found a lot of things that ad-aware did not and it also offers real-time protection. The only complaints I have about it so far are that

1. It doesn't allow for detection/deletion of tracking cookies

2. The default settings are all wrong, you have to tell it to stop processes and services, delete security risks, exclude network drives, turn off bloodhound, and several other settings which I suppose all depend on what you want.

I would agree. It seems to do a good job of spyware detection. However some of the removal still needs to be done manually. It also does a good job with realtime spyware detection.
