Hi all,
I've got a strange problem with a standalone XP machine (sp1a) that I have installed NAV 2004 on...
I installed XP from scratch and theres not much running on it so it was flying along quite happily. Once I had installed NAV, it would re-boot OK, but take ages to load the local profile.
On closer look, nothing on the desktop or start menu could be opened until the NAV icon appeared in the system tray, which takes up to a couple of minutes. Uninstalling NAV, restored the PC to normal speed, and re-install slowed it up again as before.
All the NAV settings are defaults, but I can't understand why it's not working properly, I've got NIS 2004 on another machine using the same build as the XP machine in question, and it works fine.
I've tried Symantec, but haven't had a response yet <shock>
Any suggestions or opinions much appreciated !!!
have a good day
cheers
