NAV 2003 Shortcut and Desktop icons disabled!

My Shortcut and Desktop are disabled! Howevewr, the MS Internet Explorer (6.0)for NAV icon works! I tried everything!! Virus scans report no infections. Re-installation does not enable these icons. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I would try an online virus scan by another vendor. Look in google for a free online virus scan.
