Before nav i used nod32 on clients and server, after i install nav all pc start work slowly, reading nav system requirements there is minimum 64mb ram for clients, all my client are PIV from 256 to 512 mb, cpu 3 celeron or cpu PIV

question !
maybe someone can advice some tweaks or extra options for sav clients and server ?

second problem is, when client pc start on startup sav try to download new definitions and install them, it is very slow process for some pc, when client start work his pc cannot normaly logon to windows because of proceess which loads definitions and install them.

maybe it is a solution to disable sav clients load definitions on startup ???

Thank you

Hi all

I just upgraded my Symantec System Center server everything is working fine except for the following issue (which never occured in the old server):

Setup:

I have an Exchange server running both the Symantec MS for Exchange and the Symantec Client Security.

Problem:

1) I get these pop messages:

"Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the message." (1003,11) or (1003,12)

"Your email message to [email address of recipient] with the subject [email subject] was unable to be sent . . ." (1003,9) .....

(which I get in droves) when I check the "Enable Internet Email Auto-Protect" in the "Client Auto-Protect Options" tab.

2) When I uncheck this the pop messages disappears but once the Symantec System Center server is restarted the pop up messages reappears and when I checked the "Enable Internet Email Auto-Protect" in the "Client Auto-Protect Options" tab, I discovered that the box still remains checked.

The same thing happens when I try to deselect the "Tamper Protection" checkbox, for a particular client machine it remains permanent but when I restart the Server where the Symantec System Center is installed, the "Tamper Protection" checkbox reverts back to being selected.

How do I make this check box remain permanently checked after reboot?

Thank you.

You CANNOT install any internet e-mail or Outlook realtime protection on an Exchange server, period. It will cause instability at best and crash the server at worst.

If you have those plugins installed on an Exchange server, you need to uninstall SAV completely and then find the manual removal instructions for the Outlook and Internet E-mail plugins, follow them, and then reinstall SAVCE on the Exchange server with no plugins. Also be sure to exclude the Symantec Mail Security folders from real-time file system scanning.
