Hi,
I am replacing my existing switches, with new cisco switches. I am considering shutting down vlan 1 and using a new vlan 5, instead. the port connecting the switch to the MPLS router, will be an access port in this vlan.I am concerned that the interface from the switch to the router will give me 'native vlan mismatch' errors, as the router will be in the default vlan 1. how can i resolve this?
thank you. regards.

One way would be to create a .5 subinterface on the router and to add VLAN5 as "tagged" on that interface.

If the router isn't currently configured for tagging (using subinterfaces) then it won't make any difference as the traffic to/from the router will continue to be untagged.
