Hi,
i have a problem with my samsung hd, i can't put back the native size on it of 80 GB, i only have 35Gb.
I've tried the tool from Samsung ( HUTIL), but i can't acces or see the subtool "maxadress".
Can someone help me out here?

Thx....

Check the back of the drive for a jumper that restricts it to 40GB.

Agreed, sounds like the drive has been jumpered to limit the size. Check the label on the drive for the correct settings, and alter the jumpers accordingly.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

And if it's not a jumper, make sure you reset the BIOS to its default settings. Perhaps the "Auto" setting for that drive was switched to an incorrect setting.

Also don't forget that formatting the drive using the FAT32 file system is limited to 32GB when using Windows XP to do the format. So pick NTFS if that's the case...
