I have a cable modem connected to a pc running Win2k Server, configured with DHCP server and NAT. The second NIC connects to an 8-port switch. Most of the time, this works fine. But every now and then, pc's connected to the switch lose their connectivity to the internet (which goes through the gateway box running Server & NAT). To resolve this, I disable the NIC which is connected to the switch and then enable it again. After doing this one or two or three times, all is well.

The problem seems to be random. It will happen three or four times in a day, and not again for a week. I've done all the usual stuff: check connections, reseat the cards, reinstall the software, etc.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!
