When I go to configure NAT in INETCFG, "Network Address Translation" is white and I can't configure it....What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
I've run into this too. I've set up NAT on NW 4.2 Small Business Suite - no problem. According to Novell TID# 10017720, NAT cannot be implemented with NIAS 4.0 / MPR 3.1 that comes with (intra)Netware 4.11. It is only available with NIAS 4.1 that comes with NW5.x, NWSB 4.2, NW 4.2 and Bordermanager, and is not available separately.

Does anyone know of a way around this without spending any money???
The basic Netware Internet Access Server version 4.1 (NIAS41) has the ability to route IPX over IP, etc, for frame, PPP, connections.

However, it does NOT contain NAT and it is 'greyed' out in the inetcfg portion of niascfg program.

Netware 5 also has the NAT portion of inetcfg -> protocols -> IP - > advanced section 'greyed out' since it was not available until Service Pack 1.

No easy solution. And personally, I'd LOVE to have an add-in service pack for INWware 4.11 to add NAT. INWware 4.11 comes with NIAS4.0

If I get the chance, I may attempt to 'build' a service pack by installing selected inetcfg and niascfg files and drivers from a NW5.1 server onto a INW4.11 server to see if NAT can be added. Have not yet tried, though.
Just a follow up to this problem: NAT solved in Netware 4.11. It works well and I have set up and demonstrated a distributed WAN with two 4.11 servers tunnelling through an IP sDSL connection.

Steps:
1) Have each server running NW4.11 or IntraNW 4.11
2) Install Service Pack 8a
3) Install NIAS41 as an optional product. I downloaded this file from novell.com
4) Copy NAT.nlm from a 5.1 server sys:system into the 4.11 sys:system directory.

Voila! No additional files or support seems to be needed.

As soon as the NAT.nlm file is found on the target server, the 'greyed' out NAT options were available.

FYI: additional steps are required to tunnel IP behind the NAT and to implement the Static mode of the NAT.
