Hi, please could someone help, as I am new to this.

I am looking at implementing a SAN or NAS solution. I have 2 database servers, 1 Exchange server, 1 KVS server and a file server. We also have 4 other servers but they don't need to share storage.

1. Am I able to implement a NAS device and connect all servers to it?
2. Will I need to buy a Disk Array along with the Storage Server if connecting more than 1 server?
3. With the scenerio mentinoned will a SAN solution be better?

Thanks

You cannot use Exchange or SQL using a NAS share as each drive is only a mapping for file level not block level.

You can use a NAS if the NAS has ISCSI and you use ISCSI for the Exchange Server.
