Hi All,

Here is the deal: I am building a way for Narrowcast Server to send out messages to Instant Messenger users (think notification/quick notes...).

Now, to build it (and package it) correctly, I need to know
- Do you need it?

- Why do you need it? (i.e. why not email?)

- How you are planning on using it? (Business case, please no "fun" scenario)

- What Instant Messenger is your company (or are you) using?

- Of course, if you have an idea (for your usage) of nb of messages / hour, nb users, ... that would also help!

At this point, I am only considering AOL IM and Yahoo!Messenger as they seem to be the most popular ones.

Thanks,
FLB

FLB - sounds like a great idea, but I haven't seen much demand for it.

As IMs become more a part of businesses I could see a sweet spot for that type of delivery. One good use of IM would be for the internal IT folks to get an update when loads complete. I too am curious to know if there is a market for this type of output module.

Thanks & good work!

Yes, you are right, not much demand as far as I can tell. Then I will keep my prototype for myself! ;-)
I had Narrowcast Server send messages to AOL IM and Yahoo!Messenger clients.
Cool, but useless it seems. Another boxed idea.

Well, that's life right?! ;-)
