Narrow Printing IE/OutlookExpress

Running Win 98 and am having problems printing from Outlook Express and IE4 (and IE 5) on a Brother 730Plus laser.

All e-mail messages print in a narrow column down the centre of the page (about 3 inches wide) as do web pages on IE (half of page is missing). E-mail attachments print OK. Is it an Explorer problem? What can I do - have tried reinstalling printer driver.
