Naming PDC or BDC 3

My PDC died today (RIP).I
prmoted the BDC to the PDC now I need to rebulid a new PDC when and how do I make it a pdc during install of os or do I make it a BDC then put it on the network and promote it.

PLEASE ANY IDEAS or LINks will help. Show me the way to the Next Whiskey Bar!

Install new server as BDC, then when complete promote to PDC.

when I chose to make this server a bdc should do this while its connect to the network or uplug the connect...Silly Question but would like to know thanks for you help.

You MUST connect it to network before install for synchronization with PDC

If you install off the network, the SID for the domain will be different. I think it also won't be a BDC is it can't contact the PDC.

You canno't install a BDC without connecting it to a PDC NT won't let you
