When I am clicking "Active directory users and computers" at my win2k server. The server is showing following error and doing nothing. Becuase of this problem no one can log into Domain.

Here is Active Directory error:
"
Naming information cannot be located because:
The specified domain either does not exist or coutld not be contacted.
Contact your system administrator to verify that your domain is properly configured and is currently online.
"

Also my server is taking almost 15 mins to startup screen.
My DNS is properly configured. No error in event viewer.

Thanks in advance and waiting for help.

It sounds like when you ran dcpromo you picked new domain new tree existing forest. The error is telling you that it cant contact the root domain for information. If it is a DC in a new tree and existing forest the trusts arent set up.

Then wat I should do?

Thank you shovel204

Are you actually part of an existing forest or is this the only server?
If it is the only server and you dont have a bunch of data saved on it.
I would run dcpromo again and see if it will let you demote back to a stand alone, and then promo it back as first Dc in new tree new forest. If not and you dont have a bunch of files stored already you would almost have to start fresh.
If it has a lot of files try backing them up and then fresh install.
There will most likely be some one else posting in reply to this topic so maybe they know a work around that I dont.
