hell0, when building a schema, you know when people specify something like ns0:http/example.com/date in the header area in order to prefix a node ie ns0:date, is that URL on their own machine in the c: drive somewhere or where do i put that URL on my local machine so i can refer to it in my schema please, ie the ns0:/http....... reference, i mean how can i create my own URL ? i've searched high and low and many books and can't find any references to that?

thanks
bobk

That URL has nothing to do with a physical resource location. It is all virtual. Just a name, theoretically, uniquely identifiable, no collision with any other people in the universe using the same name. You don't have to worry about where to put... because that is not the essence of the thing. You can refer to the URL exactly as the other party (be its author or not) is referring.
