Nameserver does not exist in registry

I run a VPS reseller and have a number of accounts all using the nameservers ns15.mydomain.net and ns16.mydomian.net without problem. However I have just taken a new account on and went to change their nameservers under 123-reg.co.uk to be told "ns16.mydomain.net doesn't exists in the registry"

Is this something Im doing wrong?
